ISLAMABAD, Jul 26 (APP):Prominent volunteer of Dawat-e-Islami in the United Kingdom Syed Muhammad Faisal Sami (famously known as Syed Fuzail Raza Attari) has been awarded with the prestigious BCA Award (British Citizen Award), at Westminster, London UK.
The Dawat-e-Islami volunteer for the past 19 years has done outstanding humanitarian and social work that impacted thousands of lives in the UK, and throughout the world, a news release said.
Syed Muhammad Faisal Sami, from West Midlands, is among 26 exceptional individuals to be honoured with the esteemed British Citizen Award (BCA) at the Palace of Westminster. This recognition celebrates their outstanding contributions to society.
Syed received the coveted BCA Medal of Honour for Services to the Community (BCAc). Syed has dedicated over 19 years of his life to volunteering with Dawat-E-Islami UK, aiming to better society by meeting the needs of humanity. He has enhanced communities across the Midlands, nationally and internationally, positively influencing countless lives, and creating numerous community champions.
Syed proactively built a team of volunteers in the community to address social issues and reduce crime, by launching campaigns to raise awareness about knife crime, County Lines, drugs, nitrous oxide, fly-tipping, speeding, and other related matters.
He established a prison rehabilitation team and is also actively engaged in environmental issues raising awareness about climate change and ensuring thousands of trees were planted. Syed has provided humanitarian relief for global disasters, including the Pakistan floods and earthquakes in Turkey, Syria, and Morocco.
Throughout the pandemic, he introduced daily national initiatives to engage the public and provide support during the lockdown. Additionally, Syed set up food banks to help individuals and families in need.
Syed launched various campaigns to address the lack of access to clean water in developing nations. Through his leadership, nearly 500,000 people have experienced the benefits of 3,900 water projects established in regions where water collection used to involve long journeys.
